Visiting Hashmonaim: start here
Hashmonaim sits in the hills where the Maccabean story began, a few minutes from the Maccabean Graves, Neot Kedumim and the Ben Shemen forest, with Latrun a short drive south. There is no hotel in the yishuv; the nearest is in Modi'in, by the train station.
