Hashmonaim has its own gans, a state-religious primary school and a boys' yeshiva high school, with afternoon programmes and daycare run under the regional council. Neot Kedumim, the Monkey Park and Modi'in's parks are close by.

Gan, grade 1 and grades 7 and 9 registration is online through Mateh Binyamin; for 5787 it has closed. Call 02-9977188 to ask about places.

Hashmonaim's tzaharonim (gans, girls' and boys' schools) are run by HaKochav HaBa (077-2038104), subsidised from gan to grade 2.

The council lists the Hashmonaim maon on HaTavor corner of Arbel among its daycares; fee discounts are requested on gov.il.

Anava Park in Modi'in has a free spray park that runs for 30 minutes every hour; the Modi'in Water and Sport Park has children's pools in summer.
