Health funds and urgent care near Hashmonaim

Hashmonaim itself has two kupat holim clinics. For anything bigger, and for evenings and Shabbat, you'll be driving a few minutes to Kiryat Sefer or Modiin. Here's the whole map in one place.

Clinics inside Hashmonaim

• Clalit: 45 HaYitzhar St, 08-9766450, with two family doctors. Blood tests are Sun/Tue/Thu 08:00-09:00 by phone appointment, and on Tuesdays doctors see patients only from 13:30. Clalit members can book appointments and blood tests, ask for sick notes and renew regular prescriptions on Clalit's WhatsApp service (050-2602700); customer service is *2700.
• Meuhedet: listed by the council on 08-9763014. I couldn't find its address or hours online, so call first.

The council lists one shared number for Leumit and Meuhedet in Kfar HaOranim: 072-3251568.

Maccabi members

Maccabi's service guide shows no Maccabi centre inside Hashmonaim. The nearest are in Modiin Illit, at 2 Yechezkel Blvd and 46 Avnei Nezer St (about 1.4-1.5 km), and Modiin Kramim at 60 Kislev St (about 2.3 km). Maccabi lists English among the languages spoken for at least 15 family doctors and paediatricians at those centres; book through *3555 or the Maccabi app. The ones I've listed are in the doctors section.

Bigger Clalit clinics

The Kiryat Sefer combined clinic (34 Mesilat Yosef St, 08-9781200) has a pharmacy, a Tipat Chalav (08-9781228) and an evening clinic in the same building. Clalit's women's health centre for the area is in the Kesem Center, 46 Avnei Nezer St, 3rd floor. In Modiin, Clalit's specialists, pharmacy, women's centre and physiotherapy are in the Beit Yehonatan building at Azrieli Mall.

Evenings, Fridays and Shabbat

• Terem Modiin Illit (listing), Kesem Center, 2nd floor: the closest after-hours urgent care. Sun-Thu 17:00-00:00, Fri 09:00-00:00, Sat 10:00-00:00. Terem's line is 1-599-520-520.
• Terem Modiin, 8 Tiltan St: open 24/7.
• Clalit evening clinic, Kiryat Sefer: Sun-Thu 19:00-23:00, no appointment.
• Meuhedet urgent care, 46 Avnei Nezer St: weekdays 19:30-23:00, weekends and holidays 15:00-23:00, no referral, 105 NIS on weekdays and 50 NIS on Fri/Shabbat/chag. Meuhedet also runs a 24/7 online video "ER".

Clalit uses both Terem branches as its urgent-care centres for this area.

For medicines on Motzei Shabbat, the Be Shilat pharmacy opens from half an hour after Shabbat until 23:00.

Hospital

Modiin has no hospital yet. A Modiin local news report says residents go to Shamir (Assaf HaRofeh) or to Jerusalem hospitals. Shamir runs a 24-hour ER plus paediatric, women's and maternity ERs; ER admissions 08-9779911.

Emergencies

MDA is 101. Its nearest staffed station is in Modiin; Kiryat Sefer has "responders at home" rather than a station. The council's numbers: Moked Binyamin 1208 or 02-9974106, United Hatzalah 1221.

Therapists in English

Several private therapists in Hashmonaim say they are native English speakers, including a speech therapist, psychotherapists, an OT for adult ADHD and an osteopath. They're in the therapy section.
