Hashmonaim has a dense cluster of shuls, much of it around the HaMoriya-Etz Hadar corner. Those listed include Ramat Modi'im ("Glenwood"), an Ashkenazi shul that has hosted lectures in Hebrew and English and a welcome night for new olim; HaRimon and Shaarei Yedidya with a unified nusach; Yad Moshe (Sefard); the Central Sephardi synagogue, Ohel Mina, Tzemach Yeshua (Tunisian) and a Yemenite Baladi shul; and the Chabad House on Arvei Nachal. Neighbouring Ganei Modiin has Moroccan and Yemenite shuls. The yishuv's own website gives candle lighting 20 minutes before sunset, which this site follows. The rav of Hashmonaim is Rav Shlomo Glicksberg.
